The new Surface Headphones are made out of soft, plastic materials and feature rotatable dials on both the sides. One of those can be rotated to adjust the level of noise cancellation and the other tweaks the volume. The ear cups are also touch-sensitive that lets you control the playback by tapping them. Microsoft has also bundled a host of smart assistant features such as hands-free voice commands which allows you to talk to Cortana by saying “Hey Cortana” and the headphones can automatically pause the music when you remove them from your ears. The Surface Headphones charge over USB Type-C and even have a 3.5mm port so that you can continue listening even when they run out of juice. Microsoft says on a single charge, they can last about 15 hours over Bluetooth or 50 hours when used via the headphone jack. There’s also an app from where you can personalize the sound and fine-tune several of its aspects.
