The notebook has a standard 15.6-inch FHD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a screen to body ratio of 81%. The IPS panel can accomplish a max brightness of 300 nits and is flanked by a 1MP web camera on the top with a 720p resolution. The keyboard on the Mi Notebook Pro 2 is backlit with 1.8mm thick keys and has N-key rollover of 30 keys and 5 programmable buttons on its left. There are two 3W speakers with support for High-Res audio and Dolby Atmos. The battery is rated at 55Wh and the thickness of the laptop is 20.9mm while weighing at 2.7Kg. The Mi Notebook Pro 2 sports the same cooling system as its predecessor, with a configuration of 3 + 2 copper pipes and a mode that allows fans to be put on maximum level speed to dissipate the heat as soon as possible with the push of a button. The GPU is 6GB of NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 1060 along with an option of GTX 1050 Ti MaxQ config depending on the model. On the storage front, the Mi Notebook Pro 2 will only offer PCl-e SSD storage of 256GB along with an option to add a 2.5-inch SATA unit or another M.2 unit. The laptop will come pre-loaded with Windows 10 Home along with Microsoft Office for students. Regarding ports, there are three USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, a headphone jack, a Gigabit Ethernet port and an HDMI out port.
